This page could use some work. Will do some research and then try to fill it in a bit. The article is already flagged as being too short.
Heya, Just for some of the backstory on my recent edit, some folks on the Discord channel were discussing this page and how some of the details were looking a bit out of date, so I thought I'd try my hand at updating them, with details I'm aware of. I can share the points of reference I was making use of, in-case you want to scour those locations for info too:
- The MEGA65 Discord channel: https://discord.gg/5DNvESf (might be a good place to ping Paul (@gardners) for specifics, though he is pretty busy these days)
- Tayger's in-progress article of hardware specs: https://files.mega65.org/html/main.php?id=fd2c40b9-f337-41f7-8a81-0254b1e09fb5
- The MEGA65-Book: https://files.mega65.org?id=d668168c-1fef-4560-a530-77e9e237536d
- If you want to develope and update this page, you can do it. --Jodigi (talk) 07:50, 19 October 2021 (CEST)
I was hoping to, but I hesitated a little, as there were so many details on the page that I don't know the full story on. E.g. no-smd, no-pipeline, etc. For instance, I do recall Paul writing a blog post in the past describing that he was working on pipelining in the cpu, but I don't know how far he went with it. So some details like that, it might be best we wait to get confirmation from Paul on that level of detail.
So for now, I'm happy to try tackle updates to the page in piecemeal fashion. I don't have a complete understanding of the system myself, but as I incrementally understand more, happy to incrementally update the details I am confident on.
