Retro Gamer

Retro*Gamer is a retro magazine, that has been published by Imagine Publishing (short: ip) since 2004. It is available in both print and digital editions. With its subtitle The essential guide to classic games and the warning OLD! it points to its focus on the retro computer scene. The magazine contains articles and reports covering both the software and hardware of many classic, old home computer systems such as the Commodore, Sinclair, Sega, Nintendo, Atari, Acorn., etc.

As of 2023 at least 241 issues and some specials about video consoles, game genres and home computer systems have been published.

In Germany: Since 2012 the German retro magazine has been published by the German publisher eMedia under the similar title retro* Gamer. Currently it is published 4 times a year.
