Windows

The definition window or windows is used by computer systems for:

1. On a computer system a window is a visual aera for fading in graphics, informations, pull down menus, input line or dialogs in a box on the screen. Windows can overlapping or positioning on the screen by the user. The active window is always in the front.
2. Some BASIC commands or routines are also called WINDOW - for example: WINDOW in BASIC 7.0.
3. Windows is an operating system of the company Microsoft, which is introduce for GUI (graphical user interface)on PCs with MS-DOS since November 20, 1985. The break through happen with the GUI Windows 3.x in the early 1990's.
