Short for "Graphical User Interface". A GUI is usually used with a pointer (mouse) and is characterised by distinguishable regions on the screen (windows) and symbolic elements (icons). There are only a few operating systems or programs that fulfill the same criteria for the C64. Examples are GEOS, GoDot and WINGs.
