Concerning "This article requires cleanup: It should distinguish more clearly between the hardware and the firmware." - from end user perspective I think this isn't required really. This article is about the sd2iec device that only works together with its firmware; thus, stating the features of the device as a whole is sensible. Still, creating an sd2iec (firmware)" page and linking to that (especially from the MMC2IEC page, too) would probably make sense. Just do it! :-) --1570 23:59, 2 July 2008 (CEST)

I made a first attempt to spplit SD2IEC and sd2iec, since more than 1 device now uses sd2iec firmware. Others should check my work, as I am sure I missed some stuff. --Brain 06:49, 1 August 2008 (CEST)
