VEL: flying speed in knots
Are you sure?
Once upon a time I made an experience. Going down with constant speed of 360, exactly 10 seconds (accuracy up to 0.01 sec). The difference in height was 5040.
Considering 1 foot = 30.5 cm, it means ca. 1537 m.
1537 m / 10 s = 153.7 m/s = 553.32 km/h. Dividing by 360, we get 1.537 km/h though 1 knot = 1.852 km/h. --Qdiace (talk) 00:13, 6 January 2022 (CET)
All in all, if we suppose the height in feet, we are closer to the truth considering the speed to be mile per hour. --Qdiace (talk) 07:58, 6 January 2022 (CET)
