Rabbit Software was founded in 1982 in Harrow, England, UK. The company developes a lot of games for home computer systems like VC-20, C64 or ZX Spectrum. In the first months the company was an offshoot of Cream Computers, which was a small computer shop in Harrow.
A few months later Rabbit Software was also sold in good computer outlets like Smiths, Menzies, Boots, Laskys, Martins, Rumbelows, Greens of Debenhams, etc.
In the year 1984 the headquarter moves to Wealdstone, England.
In 1985 the name Rabbit Software is acquired by Virgin Games and it is used as a publishing label for mid-priced titles. The last game under the label Rabbit Software was Doriath.
The mascot is the cuddly toy Roland Rabbit of director Heather Lamont. The company use a few logos. Since 1983 only the text logo RABBIT, also colored.
Later was used the company name as label by the programmers Wiesława Waśniewska and Cezary Waśniewski to sign their ZX Spectrum games (round about 1986-87).
