IRQ loader
From C64-Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to searchAn IRQ loader is a loader that allows a program to keep custom IRQs running while loading. This is typically used in games and demos to play music and display graphics, while loading in the background. While mostly not as fast as a dedicated fast loader, they're 1.5x to 20x as fast as the standard KERNAL loader.
