The company name Capcom is an abbreviation of Capsule and Computer.
Capcom is a Japanese developer of video games and was founded by Kenzo Tsujimoto in 1979.
In the 80's a lot of arcade games from Capcom as e.g. 1942, Bionic Commando, Ghosts'n Goblins, Ghouls'n Ghosts or Street Fighter II were popular. These games were converted to the homecomputer and video console systems as NES or Gameboy.
The company produced pinball arcade games until 1999.
