Arena Graphics
From C64-Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to searchArena Graphics was a trading name adopted by Archer MacLean, the world famous C64 and Atari games programmer who lives in the UK and is still producing games (Eg, Mercury for the PSP). Apparently a name was needed for the packaging of the game by the publisher "U.S.Gold" because at the time in 1984/5 individual programmers were not usually marketed by publishers, and also US implied the product was from the USA whereas in fact Mr Maclean was a UK citizen and USGold did not want any legal hassle for publishing products not from the USA.
