Note[edit | edit source]
Strong real-time requirements apply. See 1541EMU software - Note.
Details[edit | edit source]
The cable exists in type0 and type1 flavors with full and slightly reduced compatibility, respectively. The 1541EMU cables connect the C64 Serial Bus to the PC's parallel port. In addition, 5V power is required from the PC's game port or USB port.[1]
Development[edit | edit source]
The 1541EMU cables were constructed along with the 1541EMU software in 2001-2002.
Availability[edit | edit source]
The 1541EMU cable is available through both building instructions[1] and shops.[2]
