Rodnay Zaks

Jump to navigationJump to searchDr. Rodnay Zaks (*10 February 1946, Paris) founded the computer book publisher Sybex Inc. (USA) in 1976. He was CEO and president of his company until it was sold to the publisher John Wiley and Sons in May 2005.
He wrote a lot of computer books for homecomputers as the C64, VIC-20, ZX-81 and programming in BASIC and machine language, for example the 6502 microprocessor.
Biography (short)[edit | edit source]
He absolved a study of engineering at the École Centrale Paris in France, and his master at the University of California, Berkeley in USA. He was the 3th graduate in Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) from the then new Computer Science department. He started his career in training engineers and managers in the then new microprocessor technology.
